Marching band uniforms, school apparel, photographs, and memorabilia provide a look back at the neighborhood high school that helped forge a strong identity for the northeastern area of Sioux City.
With an enrollment of approximately 350 students grades in nine through twelve, Leeds High School was much smaller than either Sioux City Central or Sioux City East. It was similar in size to small town teams in the region like Orange City, Iowa; Canton, South Dakota and South Sioux City, Nebraska with whom it competed with in football, basketball and track. The high school itself was phased out with the opening of Sioux City East, West and North high schools in 1972.
