Tom Alesia, the author of the just-released book titled, “Beauty at Short,” will tell the Dave Bancroft story. Following the presentation, Alesia will sign copies of "Beauty at Short" for those who want to purchase the definitive story of the Sioux City Hall of Famer. Attendees are invited to bring their own lunches.

As a preview of Dave Bancroft Day in Sioux City on July 1, an exhibit of the famous baseball player’s memorabilia was displayed at the Sioux City Public Museum. The artifacts were from Alesia’s private collection as well as from the Museum’s archives.
