Animal Art On Display at SC Public Museum
(KSCJ) - The Sioux City Public Museum has debuted an exhibit from the Society of Animal Artists featuring the work of 118 of their members.
Sioux City Museum receives $20,000 grant to update and expand exhibits
(KTIV) - The Sioux City Public Museum and Historical Association was awarded a $20,000 grant from the Iowa Arts Council.
The award is a Cultural Leadership Partners grant funded by the Iowa Legislature and National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
Fall Fest 2024 returning to Sioux City next month
(KTIV) - The popular family-friendly festival will return to Sioux City on the second weekend of October.
Fall Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, and Sunday, Oct. 13.
Hometown History: Hamilton Blvd...well who is Hamilton?
(KTIV) In the 1850s, a part of what is now Hamilton Blvd, then known as North Sioux City, was platted and divided into lots.
But after moving to Sioux City in 1868, James H. Hamilton and some partners bought the subdivision, and what was then Hannibal Street eventually became Hamilton. The north end of Hamilton was farmland in 1905 near Outer Drive. It went from being a cow path to a dirt road with houses along it.

SC Public Museum event honors Black athletic heroes from Central High School
KCAU — It’s Black History Month and the Sioux City Public Museum started the month off with a special event. The museum held an open dialogue and presentation honoring the black sports heroes from Sioux City Central High School. The discussion was led by Ike Rayford, the president of the Sioux City NAACP chapter and included a short film put together by local filmmaker Jim Tillman.

KCAU — The Sioux City Public Museum has a new exhibit to display. The artwork features late 19th and early 20th century artwork for the Ogallala Sioux, Yankton Sioux, Mandan, Wind River Shoshone, Shoshone, and Kiowa Tribes.
